The IBPS RRB Clerk (Office Assistant) exam is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) for recruitment to various Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) in India. The exam is conducted in two phases: Preliminary and Mains.


IBPS RRB Clerk Exam Syllabus

Preliminary Exam:

  • Reasoning: Puzzles, seating arrangement, inequalities, syllogism, coding-decoding, blood relations, direction sense, order and ranking.
  • Quantitative Aptitude: Number series, simplification/approximation, quadratic equations, data interpretation, data sufficiency, mensuration, probability, arithmetic problems.


Mains Exam:

  • Reasoning: As above with additional topics like machine input-output, logical reasoning.
  • Quantitative Aptitude: As above with more complex problems and data analysis.
  • General Awareness: Current affairs, banking awareness, static GK.
  • English/Hindi Language: Reading comprehension, cloze test, error spotting, sentence improvement, para jumbles, fill in the blanks.
  • Computer Knowledge: Basic computer terminology, Internet, MS Office, etc.
